Written by: MIS Section

In observance of World Water Day, the Calamba Water District (CWD) successfully conducted its “Walk for Water” event and a Simultaneous Clean-Up Drive today, Monday, March 23, 2026. The event gathered employees from all departments to demonstrate the district's commitment to environmental stewardship and water resource conservation. Participants assembled at 6:30 AM in front of the CWD Main Office Building immediately following the flag-raising ceremony. Dressed in their prescribed dark blue Wednesday uniforms and suitable walking footwear, the group proceeded toward the Bucal Pumping Station and CWD Upper Bucal. This symbolic walk aimed to raise awareness about the vital role of water in sustaining life and progress within the community. Simultaneously, a dedicated team of fifteen (15) field personnel from the Technical Services and Operations Department carried out a comprehensive Clean-Up Drive at Upper BPS, Lower BPS, and Bucal Spring. The initiative focused on clearing waste and debris to maintain the integrity of local water sources. This activity is a key component of CWD’s 50th-anniversary calendar, reinforcing the district’s five-decade legacy of dedicated public service.
